As a former Graphic Design student, I really take presentation seriously and this pomade is one that caught my eye. So let's dive into Propectors Gold Rush.
Pure gold, for sure. It comes in a cool box, which for me, enhances the experience. You can see the gold metal tin inside with the absolutely gorgeous lid. The whole visual is printed on the tin itself. It gives you that feeling of mines and gold robery. A 1800s kind of scenario. I am amazed with how good everything looks and I gotta give them that!
Cologne-ish kind of scent. Fresh, clean, but a bit spicy. Can't really say exactly what I get from it but maybe the Hemp Seed Oil plays a role. Overall, it is very manly, old school and fits the concept .
Like any Gel Type. A normal and easy to scoop product that spreads evenly and rapidily on your hands.
Smooth application with no tug and pull. Scent gains a bit more complexity once in the hair.
Good amount of control but nothing fancy. It does the job.
They advertise it like Medium Hold but I think it's more of a Medium-Light. In terms of dryness, it won't suck the life out of you hair but it will harden or should I say, firm a bit.
You can restyle it but you will loose some of the product with it. Resistance will be at minimum but you will feel some of it. Wet combing will work perfectly fine.
It held my hair for the day. It was really soft in the hair before hardening.
Rinses with one shampoo.
Performance wise, it is a good product but there are other options, although there is space for this in the market, plus, with this presentation, you should definetely give it a try.
